Our Church’s Financial Faithfulness

“For everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required.”  (Luke 12:48)

Shadyside Presbyterian Church takes seriously our call to be faithful stewards of God’s resources. In order that you may place the highest degree of confidence and trust in the way we handle the gifts you return to God through our community of faith, the church has put in place structures and processes to ensure fiscal responsibility.

Leadership

• The Session of the church establishes the annual budget, among other duties.
• In addition, the church’s Board of Trustees represents the congregation in the stewardship of property and management of funds.

Audit

An independent certified public accounting firm performs an annual audit of our finances. The audited financial statement is prepared and published each year for the annual meetings of the congregation and corporation. Members receive copies of an overview of the report during these meetings.
