Pulpit Notes: Prepared to See the Face of Jesus

Visit me this day, O Lord, and find me prepared to welcome You.

Dressed in tender mercies, kindness, and humility, let me wait upon You. With patience and joy, enable me to put all my trust in Christ. Permit me to see in my neighbor, a brother, a sister, a friend; and bind us together by Your Holy Spirit for life, for community, for deeds that declare Your mercy. Allow me to work with all diligence of purpose and certainty that You will sanctify my labor, and conform my will to Your own. Fill the days that pass quickly with acts of joyful witness, prepared always to see the face of Jesus in those I least expect.  Amen.
