Pulpit Notes: Christ Has Delivered Us from Despair

God, there is much pain and suffering in the world for which we have no answer, except Christ, who has delivered us from despair.

We trust in Him to deliver us from death and all that would separate us from You. May today, therefore, be another milestone on our journey as disciples. As You delight in mercy, God, may we delight in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and become His agents of mercy and compassion wherever You lead us. In the midst of human anguish and trepidation, may we bring hope and become the living presence of Christ.  Amen.
