Mission Update: Mexico, March 5

Mission Experience in Partnership with ConeXión Mosaico

March 4–11, 2017

Today our team enjoyed worshiping with a local Pentecostal church in Chimalhuacan (the home base of our partner ConeXión Mosaico), and the service was led by Pastor Jesus! It was very uplifting to worship with the local congregation. Their service, which lasted about two and a half hours, began with an hour of praise singing. I drew great joy from their enthusiasm and how they welcomed us. As a display of hospitality, their assistant pastor translated the entire sermon, so we heard and understood an excellent sermon encouraging everyone to have a strong conviction and not allow emotions to draw you from Christ. Rev. Todd Leach provided a great greeting from Shadyside and shared that, though we are from the “City of Bridges,” our God is the one who connects us to one another.
