Doing Time with God
Adult Education Topical Book Study: Sundays, beginning January 12, at 9:45 a.m.
You are invited to join the Adult Christian Education Team’s topical study, which begins reading Doing Time with God: Stories of Hope and Healing in Our Prisons on Sunday, January 12.
Beginning Sunday, January 12, the Adult Christian Education Team invites you to join a six-week study and discussion led by representatives from one of our local mission partners, Foundation of HOPE. HOPE is an interfaith non-profit with the mission to empower incarcerated and released individuals to restore their relationship with their God, rebuild their lives, and reconcile to their communities. We will read Doing Time With God: Stories of Healing and Hope in Our Prisons, by Bill Dyer, and use it as an entry point for discussion of HOPE’s main areas of focus: chaplaincy, pre-release, aftercare, and diversion.
On Sundays, after a time of fellowship and light refreshments in the Sharp Atrium at 9:30 a.m., please join our discussion leaders, including Rev. Caitlin Werth, HOPE’s Pre-Release Program Director, in the Craig Room at 9:45 a.m. The study will continue through Sunday, February 16.
