Adult Christian Education
Shadyside Presbyterian Church offers multiple opportunities for men and women of all ages, including college students, to nurture their faith and participate in spiritual formation.
On Sunday mornings from September through May, you are invited to gather with us from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. to participate in Christian education studies. Please see the schedule of current and upcoming study options below. In addition, weekday discipleship studies meet at various times and locations during the week for opportunities to learn and share in smaller groups. To join one, please contact the church office.
Sunday Morning Series for 2023-2024: On Identity and Calling
Prior to worship each Sunday morning, the Christian Education Committee invites you to delve into Scripture, exploring themes of identity and calling. There are all sorts of ways in which the world asks us to categorize and identify ourselves. But whatever else might be true about you, the most important truth is that you are created in the image of the Triune God who knows you fully and loves you completely. As those who claim this truth, how then are we called to live? Throughout the year ahead, we will wrestle with this question guided by your pastors, fellow congregants, and faculty members from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary as we look to Scripture as well as Reformed theology and tradition.
