The Wired Soul
Young adults and friends of Shadyside Presbyterian Church are invited to join us as we continue to build community through study. Beginning April 20 and continuing through June 8, we will gather each Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. to discuss Tricia McCary Rhodes’ The Wired Soul: Finding Spiritual Balance in a Hyperconnected Age. This study will reintroduce us to the classic disciplines of Scripture reading, meditation, prayer, and contemplation — not just as technologies to aid our faith, but as tools to keep us focused and mindful in an increasingly disorienting digital age. Books are available from Rev. John Magnuson through the church office.
Most weeks, we will meet in the Stamy Room at the church; however, on Thursday, May 18, we will meet off-site. Please contact Rev. Magnuson for directions.
