Technology 101
March 8, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm EDT
An Intergenerational Invitation
Are you adrift in a sea of technology? There’s a teenager to help you stay afloat!
How many times have you watched someone use a cell phone, tablet, or laptop and marveled at how easy it seemed? Have you ever taken a photo only to wonder where it went?
There are few things that can make the technologically challenged feel more inept than watching a young person work on a smartphone or other device. Maybe a grandchild sends you something with tiny cartoon characters and acronyms that make no sense. Maybe you have accidentally downloaded an application and don’t know what to do with it. Maybe there are so many things using up precious memory space and you know you need to do something, but what?
There’s a teenager for that! Our youth invite those interested in tackling the technology to participate in their “Technology 101” event, Sunday, March 8, at 1:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. You will be partnered with a youth who will help you navigate the confusing world of texts, emails, apps, emoji, photos, Air Drops, and iMessages — just for starters.
A light lunch will be provided. Please sign up in the Sharp Atrium or call the church office by Wednesday, March 4. We’ll need to know with what type of device you would like assistance.
