Shadyside House Tour

Our very own house of worship will participate in this year’s Shadyside House Tour on Sunday, October 15, from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m. Sponsored by Shadyside Action Coalition, this self-guided tour showcases a handful of the beautiful homes in our neighborhood. This event is an excellent opportunity to welcome the community into our sacred spaces and to extend gracious hospitality to our neighbors.

Designated areas of our church building will be open to all guests following worship, and our Music in a Great Space series will present a free concert at 3:00 p.m. (Learn more about the concert.) This is a perfect time to extend the outreach of our church’s ministries: bring a friend to worship and allow him or her to experience the warmth of our time of fellowship; suggest to someone in your social circle that he or she join you on the house tour; or invite a music lover to the afternoon concert and encourage him or her to stay and explore our architecture until the end of the open house.

For those wishing to visit the other venues on the tour, please review the ticketing options online here. Tickets cost $20 each in advance and $25 each the day of the tour. Either way, patrons should begin the tour by checking in at Winchester Thurston Lower School on Ellsworth Avenue. Shadyside Action Coalition also asks patrons to bring a non-perishable item with them on the day of the tour to contribute to the food bank of the East End Cooperative Ministry (EECM), which is also one of our church’s mission partners.
