Pittsburgh Camerata Concert
March 5 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm EST
The 30th concert season of Music in a Great Space continues with the Pittsburgh Camerata, presenting The True Story of Cinderella as re-imagined by Warren Martin on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 3:00 p.m.
Hear Pittsburgh’s premier professional chamber choir, under the direction of Dr. Mark A. Anderson, with special guests, the Pittsburgh Girls Choir. The program also will include Further Adventures of Alice.
Warren Martin (1916-1982), a Westminster Choir College graduate and longtime faculty member, wrote Cinderella for the annual May Day Celebration. It was never intended to be staged. Martin insisted that the work be sung “oratorio style.” Adhering to his advice does indeed make for greater hilarity, since there is nothing to distract from the humor inherent in the music and lyrics.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.pittsburghcamerata.org or at the door. Subscriptions are also available.
