Ordination of Kendra Smith

The Pittsburgh Presbytery of the PC(USA) invites you to celebrate the ordination of Kendra Buckwalter Smith on Sunday, April 30, at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Shadyside Presbyterian Church. A reception in the Parish Hall will follow the service of ordination.
Kendra began attending SPC in 2004 as an undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh, and, in 2008, she joined the congregation and the Chancel Choir. After her undergraduate work, she attended Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (PTS), where she earned a Master of Divinity degree, followed by a Master of Sacred Theology degree. In February 2017, she successfully completed the denomination’s care process, which she entered under the sponsorship of the Session of SPC in 2009. Currently, Kendra serves as the worship coordinator of the chapel program at PTS.
It is a blessing for us to be able to celebrate this special occasion. Please support Kendra through your prayers and your presence at the service as she officially begins her ministry.
