Mission Dinner Series

The Mission and Urban Ministry Team of Shadyside Presbyterian Church invites you to attend our Mission Dinner Series to hear the inspirational stories of our mission partners.  On one Wednesday of each month, dinner occurs from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  Although there is no charge for the dinner, a freewill offering will be received to offset the costs of the meal.  Please RSVP by contacting the church office or by signing up in the Sharp Atrium.

• December 14: Sojourner House

  Sojourner House and Sojourner House MOMS (Mentoring, Opportunity, Motivation, Spirituality) provide compassionate, faith-based residential recovery services to mothers and children in the Pittsburgh area.  Sojourner House believes women can shatter the chains of addiction and hopelessness when surrounded by what means most to them: their children.  Shadyside Presbyterian Church has partnered with Sojourner House in ways ranging from transforming a vacant lot into a play yard to hosting annual spiritual retreats.  Come and learn more about this dynamic ministry and learn of additional opportunities to walk alongside them.

  The menu on December 14 will include pot roast; mashed potatoes; steamed peas with butter; and rolls with butter. Assorted cookies will be served for dessert.
