What in the World Is God Doing?

Mission Dinner Series

The Mission and Urban Ministry Team of Shadyside Presbyterian Church invites you to attend our Mission Dinner Series to hear the inspirational stories of our mission partners.  On one Wednesday of each month, dinner occurs from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.  Although there is no charge for the dinner, a freewill offering will be received to offset the costs of the meal.  Please RSVP by contacting the church office or by signing up in the Sharp Atrium.

Veterans are more than twice as likely as civilians to become homeless during their lifetimes.  In Western Pennsylvania, there are literally hundreds of veterans who are homeless at any given time.  Founded in 1996, Veterans Place is dedicated to ending homelessness among veterans in the Pittsburgh area and provides a variety of supportive services for homeless veterans.  Consider joining us to hear Marlon Ferguson explain their efforts of equipping veterans to transition from homelessness to becoming engaged, valuable citizens with a place to call home.

The menu on November 9 will include roasted stuffed chicken breast; macaroni and cheese; and sautéed sweet corn. Assorted cookies will be served for dessert.
