Women in Song: A Virtual Camerata Recital
The 28th concert season of Music in a Great Space continues with “Women in Song,” a virtual recital presented by the Pittsburgh Camerata, on Wednesday, June 2, at 3:00 p.m.
Camerata singers Charlene Canty, Meghan DeWald Althouse and Erin Schmura join together along with Camerata singer and pianist Ellen Fast to share music they love that highlights women. The program will showcase music composed by women, with, in some cases, poems written by women – all performed by women.
For this recital only, videographer and Camerata singer Ivan Plazacic will take his camera behind the scenes and show you what it is like to prepare and perform this music.
After premiering at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, this virtual recital will be available to view as many times as the purchaser wishes to view it through June 30.
