Music in a Great Space Concert

Music in a Great Space proudly presents its 26th concert season, continuing with the Amici Musicae Choir and Orchestra performing Johann Sebastian Bach’s B minor Mass on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at 3:00 p.m.

Amici Musicae Choir and Orchestra has been delighting audiences since 1994. The ensemble is comprised of fifty musicians who have studied in many of Leipzig’s most acclaimed institutions, including in the St. Thomas Boys Choir, the Gewandhaus Children’s Choir, and the Hochschule for Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy.” Under the leadership of its founder, Ron-Dirk Entleutner, Amici Musicae has become an important part of Leipzig’s musical life. In 2019, the ensemble celebrates its twenty-five-year anniversary with a performance tour to the United States, featuring the B minor Mass of Johann Sebastian Bach. Previous tours have taken them to Hong Kong, Denmark, Hungary, and twice to the United States.

No tickets necessary for admission; donations appreciated.
