Rev. Dr. Rachel C. Hébert

Associate Pastor for Missions and Campus Ministry
The Reverend Dr. Rachel C. Hébert began serving Shadyside Presbyterian Church as Associate Pastor for Missions and Campus Ministry in July 2023.
Originally raised in Texas, Rachel spent her undergraduate years at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in religion and the arts with a minor in classical vocal performance. She completed a one-year college ministry internship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and, sensing a deeper call to ministry, attended Princeton Theological Seminary. While in seminary, she established a collegiate ministry program at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, where she served as an intern for two years during her seminary studies.
For nearly eight years, Rachel resided in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she served as the Associate Pastor for Community Care at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church (WPC), overseeing WPC’s collegiate ministry program, as well as various mission and outreach endeavors both locally and abroad. While at WPC, Rachel pursued her Doctor of Ministry at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia, from which she graduated in May 2023.
Rachel is excited to call Pittsburgh and Shadyside home. She is a lover of coffee, wine, and her two cats: Meg and Beth. Rachel loves getting out of the office and grabbing a cup of coffee, so please reach out to her and set up a time to talk about life, faith, and everything in between.
