Della Ellard

Administrative Assistant

Prior to assuming her role as one of the Administrative Assistants at SPC, Della Ellard worked for almost ten years as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Mellon Bank Corporation (now BNY Mellon).

Subsequently, she volunteered and worked part-time in the church office as the evening and Sunday morning receptionist. A member of SPC since 1992, Della has completed two terms (six years) on the Board of Deacons, was a member of the Congregational Care team, and a longtime member of the Choral Society. She cooks and serves meals at Bethlehem Haven Shelter for Women on a regular basis. Frequently, Della and her puppets have been greeters for Vacation Bible School. She has made candy, crafts, and baked goods for some of the church’s ongoing mission’s projects, and she now serves as one of the founding members of the church’s Prayer Shawl Ministry. Her love of people has taken her on the Mars Hill, North Carolina, mission experience many times.
