Jeff Schooley
Young Adult and Graduate Student Ministry

Jeff-Schooley.jpgIn August 2010, Jeff Schooley assumed his responsibilities as the Director of Young Adult and Graduate Student Ministry.  Jeff’s new role follows two years of service as a seminary intern, which he completed while studying at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (PTS), earning both Master of Divinity and Master of Sacred Theology degrees.

He and his wife, Brianne, have been attending Shadyside Presbyterian Church since 2006, and he has grown more in love with the church every Sunday. During this time, he and Brianne also have participated regularly in the Young Adult and Graduate Student Ministry, which helped ensure a smooth transition for Jeff into the leadership position.  This post also carries the added blessing of keeping the couple at a church they love and where Brianne was ordained as a deacon in the spring of 2010. Jeff is excited about integrating young adults and graduate students into the fabric and life of the congregation.

Before beginning his studies at PTS, Jeff earned two degrees in English literature, receiving his bachelor’s in 2004 and his master’s in 2006. He also is an adjunct English faculty member at the Community College of Allegheny County and Duquesne University. In his spare time, he can be found socializing with friends, playing with his dog, watching a movie, or reading a book.
