Adult Christian Education

Adult Christian Education Offerings

Sunday mornings from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. (September through May)

On Sunday mornings, men and women of all ages, including college students, are invited to gather at 9:30 a.m. to participate in one of several studies offered by Shadyside Presbyterian Church's Adult Ministries:

  • Campus Ministry "Donut Society"
College students are invited to the "Donut Society" for free donuts, coffee, and Scripture study before worship.
  • The Bible and Theology
Examine the Old and New Testament texts that inform theological ideas and how the church has formulated these into doctrine, currently studying "Who Is Humanity?" and "Soteriology: How Are We Saved?"
  • Topical Book Study
Read and discuss recent books on Christianity, faith, and life.  From November 29 through December 20, explore Advent themes in C.S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe as we read Heidi Haverkamp’s Advent in Narnia. Read more.
