Founded in 1908, the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh holds the distinction of being the city’s oldest continuously performing arts organization. For this special performance, the Choir will sing under the direction of Betsy Burleigh, who is celebrating her sixth season as Music Director of the Mendelssohn, and will be accompanied by Dr. Edward Alan Moore, East Liberty Presbyterian Church’s new Organist and Music Director. The program will feature Zoltán Kodály's Laudes organi and Francis Poulenc’s Litanies à la Vierge Noire, among other sacred choral selections, including several presented antiphonally. Come be surrounded by over a century of song in the spiritual splendor of our sanctuary!
