Golf Outing
12th Annual Golf Outing in support of Hosanna House
Who:
Church members and guests and friends of Hosanna House. The outing is open to men, women, young people, golfers of all ages. Non-golfers are welcome and needed to be spotters.
What:
18-Hole Scramble, Silent Auction and Buffet Dinner (non-golfers are welcome to come just for dinner)
When:
Saturday, September 10, 2011, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (Rain or shine unless the course is closed for heavy showers. If there is a question, call the course at 724-295-3656 that morning.)
Where:
Birdsfoot Golf Club, Freeport, Pa.
225 Furnace Run Rd. Freeport, PA 16229.
Directions:
Take Route 28 North (approx. 25 miles from Highland Park Bridge) to the Slate Lick Exit (Exit 18) and turn right at the end of the exit ramp. Travel 1.7 miles, turn right on Furnace Run Rd. Travel 1.2 miles. You will pass a baseball field on your left. Take the next left at 225 Furnace Rd.
How:
$70 golf, cart, and dinner
$15 dinner only
$ 7 dinner for children, 10 and under
All fees payable in full by check with registration form. Receipts for the charitable donation will be available at registration. Cash bar after golf. Drink cart service available during play. Hot dog and drink provided at the turn. RSVP no later than Sunday, August 28.
Sponsors
Anyone can help by sponsoring a hole. For $110, you can have your name or the name of an organization on the sign at one tee and in the dinner program. Angel sponsorship available for $1,000. All sponsor proceeds (100% tax deductible) will go to Hosanna House in Wilkinsburg, a nonprofit community support organization. Shadyside Presbyterian Church has chosen this charity in its commitment to community support.

You can list players you want to play with or let the committee place you.
Prizes & Silent Auction
We will have a silent auction and skill prizes on select holes. Returning this year: Beat the Pro on a Par 3, and a Lucky Card 50/50 Raffle.
Dress Code
Proper golf attire is required, shirts with collars, no cut-offs.
What is a scramble?
Each player hits his or her own ball off the tee. The best shot is selected. The location is marked with a tee. All players play from the marked location. This process continues until the ball is in the hole. There is one score for the foursome. We will handicap based on information provided.
