Sue Haney
Director of Hospitality
In January 2008, Sue Haney joined the SPC staff as Director of Hospitality. In this part-time position, Sue plans and coordinates fellowship events to enhance the congregational life of the church. In addition, she acts as the coordinator for weddings and funerals.
Sue’s prior career experience includes work in the fields of education and sales. Due to her sales background, she possesses management and event planning skills.
As a sales representative, Sue’s work required a great deal of travel, which previously limited her participation in church activities. Now that she has retired and will not be on the road quite as much, she looks forward to the opportunity to make a commitment to the church and serve in this new capacity.
Born in Pittsburgh, Sue moved to Lancaster as a toddler. In 1979, a job opportunity spurred her to move back to the area, where she found a spiritual home in this church. Sue joined SPC in 1982, during the ministry of Dr. Holland, and fondly recalls how impressed she was by the congregation’s friendliness.
Sue enjoys flower gardening, reading, traveling, and sewing. Her husband, Don Lee, is originally from Brooklyn, New York, and is the Director of Catering at the Hilton Hotel Downtown.
